I have spent a lifetime in education and am dedicated to supporting students, teachers, and families in the Burlington Public Schools. I was a thoughtful voice on the School Committee. As a voice for every student and every family, I will work to help our children succeed in the 21st century.

• Improved our budget process by making it more transparent for community and Town Meeting members.
• Enhanced our Social Emotional Learning supports for every student by adding social workers and curriculum for all grades.
• Established transparent budget and accounting policies and procedures throughout the District.
• Promoted efforts to align the curriculum and improve the effectiveness of our instructional techniques.
• Enhanced healthy and sustainable schools by using green cleaning supplies; instituted composting in school kitchens; and carefully monitored the ventilation system.
• Helped to create inclusive and welcoming places for every student including specialized training for teachers.
• Voted for the new food service management company, which improved food quality for our children and saved the District money. 
• Because of my efforts and persistence, our District Policy Manual is now complete and posted on the BPS website.
• Began work on a new Fox Hill School and we are now working on a renovation of or a new Burlington High School. Advocated for and supported three new or expanded special education programs to educate our students in the Burlington schools, not out of district, saving the Town money.

I will build on this foundation in my next term. I ask for your support and your vote next April.
