The Community Supports Simon for School Committee
Martha Simon is intelligent, experienced, an independent thinker and she truly cares about the children in our school district. Martha is very careful with our tax dollars so we can get the most out of our limited resources. As someone entrusted to watch how we spend our taxpayer dollars, more than half of which go to our schools, I personally know how critical that is. She's pushed for and implemented greater fiscal oversight and updated district policies. Her lifetime of expertise in education gives her a unique and needed perspective. With a deliberate and thoughtful approach, she listens to everyone and works collaboratively. Please join me in supporting Martha Simon on April 6th. She is an outstanding choice and we need her continued leadership on the Burlington School Committee.
Martha Simon is an invaluable member of the School Committee. She is dependable, well researched and passionate about education which has been her lifelong calling. She works collaboratively and listens to all sides. I appreciate her mentorship and constant support. It is clear she values the perspective of our teachers and has their respect. Her service is always in the best interest of our students.
We went to Burlington schools and chose to raise our children here. We’ve seen firsthand that Martha genuinely cares. She listens to parents, asks the right questions and follows up. We trust Martha to not only vote in the best interests of our own children but all children and taxpayers.
Martha actively engages in her role as a School Committee member and is her own person. She asks questions, challenges assumptions, and successfully delivers her promise for transparency in all matters including financial issues and related policies. I support her re-election and ask that you vote for Martha on April 6th.
Martha is a passionate advocate for all of the students in the Burlington Public Schools. As a Town Meeting member, a founder of Indian Americans for Burlington, and a member of the Ways & Means committee and Schools sub-committee, I have seen her thoughtfully address academic issues, community needs, diversity issues, and financial tangles. I have complete trust in Martha’s abilities to serve on School Committee and strongly recommend her reelection.
